OMAC F144 / F150 Single Conductor Pulley

The OMAC F144 / F150 is a single-sheave running-out block, also called a stringing block or stringing pulley, fit for stringing one conductor. It hangs from the tower or pole and carries the pilot rope, pulling rope and conductor as they are pulled through the span.

The sheave is aluminium, mounted on sealed ball bearings, with its groove lined with nylon sectors to protect conductor strands from damage. The galvanised steel frame is openable so the rope or conductor can be dropped into the sheave without threading, and a non-fleeting device stops it jumping out of the groove. A swivelling fork attachment is standard.

The range runs from the compact F150 sizes, Ø230 and Ø350 mm sheaves at 20 kN working load and 4 to 9 kg, through the F144 sizes from Ø500 to Ø1000 mm, up to the F144.120.130 with a Ø1200 mm sheave, 130 mm groove and 100 kN working load. Groove widths of 68 and 95 mm suit typical transmission conductors; the sheave diameter should be chosen to respect the conductor’s minimum bending radius.

Options include a fixed or swivelling hook in place of the fork, aluminium-sector groove lining (opt. 314) with a grounding device (opt. 326) and 6 m copper earthing cable (opt. 329) for work near energised lines, an extended non-fleeting device covering half the wheel circumference, and a transport and storage box.
