Home Solutions Equipment Sales Pulleys OMAC F149.80.95.E Helicopter Pulley Block

The OMAC F149.80.95.E is a five-sheave block fit for stringing a pilot rope by helicopter. On helicopter stringing, the aircraft flies the pilot rope along the line and drops it into each block in turn, so the block has to capture the rope without a lineman on the tower.
Purpose-built guide devices position the pulling rope into the sheave groove and keep it inside the groove during stringing operations. Once the pilot rope is in, the same five-sheave block then carries the four-bundle conductor pull.
The aluminium sheaves are Ø800 mm with a 95 mm groove, lined with nylon sectors and mounted on waterproof bearings. The galvanised steel frame has a fixed attachment. Working load is 60 kN and the block weighs 310 kg.
Options are aluminium-sector sheaves (opt. 314), a grounding device (opt. 326) and a 6 m copper earthing cable with tower clamp and block terminal (opt. 329, which requires the grounding device).
Dimensions and weights are without optional devices.
