OMAC F155.B Reel-Stand
Description
The OMAC F155.B is a reel-stand for conductor wooden drums or reels, used in aerial stringing operations and underground cabling. It is supplied in pairs and comes in two capacities, 40 kN (F155.040.B) and 70 kN (F155.070.B), covering the lighter end of the reel-stand range.
The stands are made in steel with a foldable structure, so a pair packs down small for transport between sites. The drum is lifted by hydraulic jacks, and the reel turns on a steel shaft running on ball bearings, located with adjustment wedges.
Braking is by two mechanical disc brakes with replaceable brake pads, which control and adjust the torque applied to the reel as conductor is drawn off. The standard pair gives 100 daN·m of braking torque; option 410.3 swaps in hydraulic brake clamps, controlled by manual pump, raising this to 150 daN·m.
The F155.040.B takes reels from Ø0.8 to 2.8 m and up to 1.4 m wide, and the F155.070.B takes Ø1.0 to 2.8 m and up to 1.5 m wide; larger diameters are available on request. Both use a 40 mm spindle. A pair weighs 230 kg (F155.040.B) or 280 kg (F155.070.B), making the F155.B well suited to distribution and fibre work where a full F155 stand would be oversized.
