OMAC F188 6 Conductor Pulley

The OMAC F188 is a six-sheave running-out block fit for stringing six conductors, used on six-bundle EHV lines where all sub-conductors are pulled together behind a running board.

Each aluminium sheave turns on sealed ball bearings, with a groove lined in nylon sectors to protect the conductor. The steel frame carries non-fleeting devices on the lateral sheaves and hangs from a demountable attachment that revolves by 90°.

Four sizes are available: Ø650 mm sheaves with 68 or 95 mm grooves (40 kN and 60 kN), and Ø800 mm sheaves with 68 or 95 mm grooves (both 60 kN). Weights run from 180 kg (F188.65.68) to 240 kg (F188.80.95).

Options are aluminium-sector sheaves (opt. 314) with a grounding device (opt. 326) and 6 m copper earthing cable (opt. 329), and a central sheave with steel sectors (opt. 325) for the pulling rope. For a block that can switch between four- and six-bundle work, see the seven-sheave F189.
