OMAC P190.22 Hydraulic Puller
The OMAC P190.22 is a hydraulic puller rated to 190 kN for stringing overhead transmission lines.
Description
The OMAC P190.22 is a hydraulic puller with two hydraulic circuits. It can pull one or two ropes in stringing operations on overhead transmission lines. It delivers a maximum pull of 1 x 190 kN on a single rope or 2 x 95 kN across two ropes. At maximum pull it runs at 2.2 km/h, and at its top speed of 4.6 km/h it delivers 1 x 80 kN or 2 x 40 kN.
The machine has two pairs of multi-grooved steel bull-wheels, each Ø600 mm with 14 grooves, suited to stringing two steel ropes. It accepts ropes up to 2 x 28 mm in diameter and joints up to 60 mm. Coupling devices link the two pairs of bull-wheels for single-rope stringing. Two reelwinders take 1400 mm diameter reels and include an automatic ropewinder.
Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 278 hp (205 kW), with a 24 V electric plant. A heat exchanger cools the oil in the hydraulic circuit.
The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 4.0 electronic instrument, which has a 7″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The P190.22 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. Two pull force setting devices hold the pre-set force even at zero speed, and two negative hydraulic brakes provide safety braking.
As standard, the P190.22 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It also has hydraulic front and back stabilisers, attachments for anchorage and lifting, and a manual rope clamp. The machine measures 4.60 m long, 2.45 m wide and 2.90 m high, and weighs 8900 kg without rope.
