OMAC P30 Hydraulic Puller

The OMAC P30 is a hydraulic puller that pulls one rope in stringing operations on overhead transmission lines. It delivers a maximum pull of 30 kN at 1.2 km/h. At its top speed of 3.8 km/h it delivers 12 kN.The machine has one pair of multi-grooved steel bull-wheels, each Ø250 mm with 7 grooves, suited to stringing one steel rope. It accepts ropes up to 13 mm in diameter and joints up to 40 mm. A reelwinder takes a 1400 mm diameter reel and includes an automatic ropewinder.Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 35 hp (26 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. A heat exchanger cools the oil in the hydraulic circuit.The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 4.0 electronic instrument, which has a 7″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The P30 has an electronic instrument by-pass, and a negative hydraulic brake provides safety braking.As standard, the P30 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has mechanical front and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a manual rope clamp. The machine measures 2.10 m long, 1.60 m wide and 1.60 m high, and weighs 1100 kg without rope.
