OMAC P80 + 051.3 Hydraulic Puller
The OMAC P80 + 051.3 is a crawler-mounted hydraulic puller that pulls one rope in overhead transmission line stringing. It delivers 80 kN max pull and handles ropes up to 18 mm. The crawler system travels over steeply sloping ground and turns in tight spaces, with radio control for both the crawler and the puller.
Description
The OMAC P80 + 051.3 is a hydraulic puller on a crawler system. It pulls one rope in stringing operations on overhead transmission lines. It delivers a maximum pull of 80 kN at 1.5 km/h. At its top speed of 4.5 km/h it delivers 25 kN.
The machine has one pair of multi-grooved steel bull-wheels, each Ø400 mm with 8 grooves, suited to stringing one steel rope. It accepts ropes up to 18 mm in diameter and joints up to 50 mm. A reelwinder takes a 1600 mm diameter reel and includes an automatic ropewinder.
Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 74 hp (55 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. A heat exchanger cools the oil in the hydraulic circuit.
The crawler system lets the machine travel over steeply sloping ground and turn in tight spaces. The puller’s hydraulic circuit drives the crawler, and movement is reversible. Self-acting negative parking brakes hold the machine in place. A radio control operates both the crawler system and the puller. A hydraulically controlled share on the pull side anchors the machine, and front and back hooks allow it to be towed.
The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 4.0 electronic instrument, which has a 7″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The P80 + 051.3 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. A pull force setting device holds the pre-set force even at zero speed, and a negative hydraulic brake provides safety braking.
It also has attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a manual rope clamp. The machine measures 3.95 m long, 1.95 m wide and 1.80 m high, and weighs 6000 kg without rope.
