OMAC PT100.22 Hydraulic Puller-Tensioner

The OMAC PT100.22 is a puller-tensioner with two hydraulic circuits, designed to operate both as a tensioner and as a puller, stringing one or two ropes or conductors. As a puller it delivers a maximum pull of 1 x 100 kN or 2 x 50 kN at 2.4 km/h, and 50 kN at its top speed of 5 km/h. As a tensioner it delivers a maximum tension of 1 x 100 kN or 2 x 50 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h.The machine has two pairs of steel bull-wheels lined with multi-grooved nylon sectors, 4 x Ø1500 mm with 10 grooves, and devices to couple the two pairs. It accepts conductors up to 2 x 42 mm and ropes up to 21 mm in diameter. A version with Ø1800 mm bull-wheels is also available. A hydraulic device on one circuit controls low tension values (2–15 kN) and is suited to stringing fibre optics.Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 135 hp (100 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. An oil cooling system is fitted, and two auxiliary hydraulic circuits run additional equipment (1 or 2 reel-winders or reel-stands).The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 10 electronic instrument, which has a 10″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The PT100.22 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. In puller mode, a pull-force setting device holds the pre-set force even at zero speed.It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, two negative hydraulic safety brakes, a manual clamp for 2 ropes or conductors, and a back fix conductor-driver with nylon rollers for 2 conductors.As standard, the PT100.22 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a hydraulic front plough and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 4.50 m long, 2.25 m wide and 2.80 m high, and weighs 6200 kg without rope.
