OMAC PT150.22 Hydraulic Puller-Tensioner

The OMAC PT150.22 is a machine with two hydraulic circuits, designed to operate both as a tensioner and as a puller, stringing one or two ropes or conductors. As a puller it delivers a maximum pull of 1 x 150 kN or 2 x 75 kN at 1.8 km/h, and 50 kN at its top speed of 5 km/h. As a tensioner it delivers a maximum tension of 1 x 150 kN or 2 x 75 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h.The machine has two pairs of steel bull-wheels lined with multi-grooved nylon sectors, 4 x Ø1500 mm with 12 grooves, and devices to couple the two pairs. It accepts conductors up to 2 x 42 mm and ropes up to 28 mm in diameter. A hydraulic device on one circuit controls low tension values (3–30 kN) and is suited to stringing fibre optics.Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 183 hp (135 kW), or 176 hp (130 kW)*, with a 24 V electric plant. An oil cooling system is fitted, and two auxiliary hydraulic circuits run additional equipment (1 or 2 reel-winders or reel-stands).The operator works from a control panel with two built-in DEG 10 electronic instruments, each with a 10″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The PT150.22 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. In puller mode, a pull-force setting device holds the pre-set force even at zero speed. It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, two negative hydraulic safety brakes, a manual clamp for 2 ropes or conductors, and back fix conductor-drivers with nylon rollers for 2 conductors.As standard, the PT150.22 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a hydraulic front plough and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 4.50 m long, 2.47 m wide and 2.80 m high, and weighs 10500 kg.* According to the EC directive 97/68/CE with subsequent amendments and additions.
