OMAC PT190.42 Hydraulic Puller-Tensioner

The OMAC PT190.42 is a machine with two hydraulic circuits, designed to operate both as a tensioner and as a puller, stringing 1, 2, 3 or 4 ropes or conductors. As a puller it delivers a maximum pull of 1 x 190 kN or 2 x 95 kN at 2.1 km/h, with a top speed of 5 km/h. As a tensioner it delivers a maximum tension of 1 x 190 kN or 2 x 95 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h.The machine has two pairs of bull-wheels, 4 x Ø1500 mm with 20 grooves, with high-resistance steel grooves that are thermally and chemically treated and fit for steel wire ropes or conductors. It accepts conductors up to 4 x 45 mm and ropes up to 30 mm in diameter. A version with Ø1800 mm bull-wheels is also available.Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 288 hp (215 kW), with a 24 V electric plant. An oil cooling system and an automatic lubricating system are fitted, and four auxiliary hydraulic circuits run additional equipment (4 reel-winders or 4 reel-stands).The operator works from a control panel with two built-in DEG 10 electronic instruments, each with a 10″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The PT190.42 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. In puller mode, a pull-force setting device holds the pre-set force even at zero speed. It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, two negative hydraulic safety brakes, an automatic clamp for 4 ropes or conductors, and back conductor-drivers with nylon rollers for 4 conductors.The PT190.42 is built on a frame with two axles, one steering with a drawbar, on leaf spring suspensions and tyres for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a hydraulic front plough, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 6.00 m long, 2.50 m wide and 3.15 m high, and weighs 16000 kg.
