OMAC PT35 Hydraulic Puller-Tensioner

The OMAC PT35 is a hydraulic machine designed to operate both as a tensioner and as a puller, stringing one rope or conductor. As a puller it delivers a maximum pull of 35 kN at 2.5 km/h, and 15 kN at its top pulling speed of 4.5 km/h. As a tensioner it delivers a maximum tension of 35 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h.The machine has one pair of steel bull-wheels lined with multi-grooved nylon sectors, 2 x Ø1500 mm with 5 grooves. It accepts conductors up to 36 mm and ropes up to 16 mm in diameter.Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 47 hp (35 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. An oil cooling system is fitted, and an auxiliary hydraulic circuit runs additional equipment (one reel-stand or reel-winder).The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 10 electronic instrument, which has a 10″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The PT35 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, a negative hydraulic safety brake, a manual clamp for rope or conductor, and a back fix conductor-driver with nylon rollers.As standard, the PT35 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a mechanical front plough and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 3.85 m long, 1.85 m wide and 2.20 m high, and weighs 2700 kg without rope.
