OMAC T100.22 Hydraulic Tensioner

The OMAC T100.22 is a tensioner with two hydraulic circuits that strings one or two conductors. It delivers a maximum tension of 1 x 100 kN or 2 x 50 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h. In pull-back mode it delivers a maximum pull of 1 x 100 kN or 2 x 50 kN at 0.8 km/h.

The machine has two pairs of steel bull-wheels lined with multi-grooved nylon sectors, 4 x Ø1500 mm with 12 grooves. A device couples the two pairs of bull-wheels. It accepts conductors up to 2 x 42 mm in diameter. A version with Ø1800 mm bull-wheels is also available. A hydraulic device on one circuit controls low tension values (3–30 kN) and is suited to stringing fibre optics.

Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 57 hp (42 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. A heat exchanger cools the oil in the hydraulic circuit, and two auxiliary hydraulic circuits control 1 or 2 reel-stands independently.

The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 4.0 electronic instrument, which has a 7″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The T100.22 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, two negative hydraulic safety brakes, a manual clamp for 2 conductors, and back fix conductor-drivers with nylon rollers.

As standard, the T100.22 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a hydraulic front plough and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 4.50 m long, 2.25 m wide and 2.80 m high, and weighs 5500 kg without rope.
