OMAC T180.6 Hydraulic Tensioner

The OMAC T180.6 is a hydraulic tensioner that strings up to 6 conductors. It delivers a maximum tension of 1 x 180 kN, with a top speed of 5 km/h. In pull-back mode it delivers a maximum pull of 180 kN at 0.5 km/h.

The machine has one pair of steel bull-wheels lined with multi-grooved nylon sectors, 2 x Ø1500 mm with 24 grooves. It accepts conductors up to 6 x 38 mm in diameter.

Power comes from a water-cooled diesel engine rated at 75 hp (55 kW), with a 12 V electric plant. A heat exchanger cools the oil in the hydraulic circuit, and auxiliary hydraulic circuits control up to 6 reel-stands (not independent).

The operator works from a control panel with a built-in DEG 4.0 electronic instrument, which has a 7″ graphic colour display and a USB port. The T180.6 uses a maintenance-free load cell reading system and has an electronic instrument by-pass. It also has a self-recovery device for sagging operations, negative hydraulic safety brakes, a manual clamp for conductors, and back fix conductor-drivers with nylon rollers for 4 conductors.

As standard, the T180.6 sits on a rigid-axle chassis with a manual brake and a detachable drawbar for low-speed towing on the job site. It has a hydraulic front plough and back stabilisers, attachments for anchoring and lifting, and a grounding connection point. The machine measures 4.50 m long, 2.50 m wide and 2.90 m high, and weighs 9500 kg without rope.
