Steel Tilt Props
The Legend Hire Tilt Prop is a purpose-designed temporary propping system very versatile, used to brace precast concrete tilt-up panels, façade retention, retaining walls, power pole propping, bracing towers, among other applications.
Description
Tilt props provide temporary lateral stability and remain in place until the structure has been installed and achieved sufficient strength to provide permanent lateral stability.Tilt props are supplied as a hire or sale item and must only be used in accordance with an approved engineering design, a sitespecific temporary works plan, and this data sheet. Working Load Limits below are the governing (lower of compression and tension) capacities confirmed by independent load testing.
ENGINEERING & INSTALLATION BASIS
- Use only in accordance with a project specific temporary works design prepared by a suitably qualified engineer (AS 3850.1)
- Typical incline 45–60°; the base connection must provide positive fixing.
- Post-installation inspections and after any significant wind event, in accordance with AS 3850. Props must not be removed until written approval is given, once all permanent connections are complete (AS 3850.2, Cl 6.3)
